Frequently Asked Questions

What is the optimal method of using Antiquax Leather Re-colouring Balm?
In practice Antiquax Leather Re-colouring Balm works best when used as part of a three-stage leather refurbishment system. The process starts with Antiquax Leather Cleaner to remove dirt etc. from the leather. This is followed by Antiquax Leather Re-colouring Balm and finally Antiquax Leather Cream as a final protective finishing stage.
Can Antiquax Leather Cleaner be used on all types of leather?
Antiquax Leather Cleaner cannot safely be used on suede, nubuck or some unprotected types of aniline leather.
Can I apply Antiquax polishes over precoated surfaces?
Antiquax wax polishes could attack certain previously treated/sealed surfaces. You must conduct a compatability test of the wax on an inconspicuous area first.
Does Antiquax Marble Wax have any harmful effects on Marble?
No, as a general rule organic solvents do not have deleterious effects on stonework.
